Stacie & Eric

Portrait of Stacie and Eric in front of their home

Dear Expectant Mother,

Hello! We are Stacie and Eric along with our son, Keaton and our dog, Dolly from the San Francisco Bay area. We were blessed to become a family when we adopted our son Keaton four years ago – and we are excited to expand on that love and joy by completing our family with another child.

We thank you for taking the time to learn more about us as you consider an adoption plan for you and your baby. Please reach out if we can answer any questions you may have!

Our Story

We met while working together on the student newspaper in high school. We had an instant connection and quickly became best friends. College took us separate ways but once we were back in our home town we quickly became inseparable once again, falling in love and getting married.

We’ve truly grown up together and have seen each other through all of life’s highs and lows. We have built our life on the foundation of our deep friendship and being each other’s soft place to fall. We really just enjoy being together and sharing our love for our friends and family, creativity, reading, music, nesting at home, and seeking out new adventures. Our greatest joy is watching Keaton learn and grow!

Meet Stacie by Eric

Stacie is loving, affectionate, and cares deeply about the happiness and well-being of others. She’s passionate, creative, intentional, and she continually works to make us stronger as a couple and as a family. She’s my best friend and I love seeing her as a mom with Keaton!

Stacie is into all things artsy and craftsy (she is currently making family Christmas stockings!) and loves to scour Pinterest for fun activities to do with Keaton. She has recently gotten into digital illustration and loves to take art classes of all kinds. She also makes sure we celebrate all of the seasons – running through the sprinklers and making s’mores in the summer, picking apples and carving pumpkins in the fall, and decorating the house for Halloween and Christmas – then documents those memories in photo and memory books for Keaton. She brings meaning to our life through the small and big memories that she helps to create.

Meet Eric by Stacie

Eric is truly my best friend and just a really good and solid guy. He is incredibly loving and patient and is supportive of my goals and dreams – doing whatever he can to help me achieve them. He is hard-working, smart, an amazing problem-solver, and the guy you always want on your team for trivia games. He also has the best smile and is one of the funniest people I know. He keeps us laughing!

Eric is into all the techy and gadgety things and enjoys listening to podcasts about tech, music, and true crime (of course trying to solve the cases!). He is one of those lucky people that is as creative as he is logical and technical – which serves us well both in business and life. He is an extremely hands-on and playful dad, which is so fun to watch. He loves to include Keaton in his home projects and they continually work to make better and more elaborate forts together. He is an amazingly calm and steady force and we are so lucky to call him ours!

Our Work

On top of being life partners, we are also business partners – running an interactive graphic design and programming agency for the past 20+ years. We love that we get to be creative and play with technology for a living but truly the best part is that we can work from home and be hands-on, present parents with flexible schedules!

Meet Keaton

Our 4-year-old, Keaton, is a funny and sweet little dude. He loves to build, climb, make art, and dig at the beach or in his sandbox. He also plays a mean harmonica and has an ongoing fascination with anything to do with water towers (thanks, YouTube). We know Keaton will be such a fun and loving big brother.

Our Home

We live in the Bay Area, about 25 minutes from San Francisco. Our neighborhood is friendly, safe, diverse, and full of kids – and it hosts annual family events including picnics, summer concerts, an Easter egg hunt, and a Halloween block party. We also have an elementary school and public park just down the street and the beach (our fave!) is just a 5-minute drive. It’s an awesome place to raise a family.

Our Dog, Dolly

We have an 8-year-old, Papillon-mix rescue pup named Dolly who brings great joy to our family. Sweet, gentle, and snuggly she and Keaton are best buds!

Ohana Means Family
Ohana Means Family: Eric’s family is from Hawaii and we embrace their concept of “ohana” – which is a blend of family, chosen family, and community. Our ohana mean everything to us and we love spending time and making memories with our people. We have lots of close family and friends within a 30-minute drive and others spread out across the country. We feel grateful to have such warm and kind humans—from Hawaii to Minnesota—that love and support our family!
