Dear Expectant Mother,

Hi! We’re Alba and Jeremy. We are so grateful that you are taking the time to find out about us. Although we were not able to have children, our dream to grow our family has always included adopting a child. Our sister, who we are very close to, is adopted. We know firsthand the blessing that growing your family through adoption can be. We would be so thrilled and honored to share the life we have created with a child. Thank you for taking the time to get to know us better.

About Us

We are both fun-loving people who share and love the same things. We have been married for over 9 years and both respect and love each other very deeply. We value kindness, creativity, and humor. Life is a great adventure and we live it to the fullest. We hope to share our wonderful experiences and ideals with a child.

We don’t have any kiddos, but cannot wait to share all of our adventures with our adopted child:

Our Home

We live in California, our home is in a scenic county area filled with beautiful oak trees. We even have wild peacocks that roam the streets! We have a large yard with a pool and plenty of room for fun, playtime, plants and gardening. The ideal day is hanging out by the pool, barbecuing with family and friends. We are close to the beach, and love to go on long walks, check out the surfers and the beautiful sunsets. Our home is close to shopping, airport, wilderness and great schools.

Our home comes alive for Halloween! Every Halloween we dress up and decorate our home with cool music special effects…The Works! Alba makes incredibly fun costumes for us to wear, all of us… including our pets Dottie & Roxie! Our neighbors make it a point every year to bring their kids over to our home for trick or treating. We get endless requests from the kids to get their photos taken with us. We smile when the kids say we live at the Mandalorian/ Shriek house throughout the year. We celebrate all the holidays in a big way, that’s how we grew up and hope to make great memories with a child someday.

Get to Know Alba

Alba is the most creative, fun-loving and caring person I have ever met. She will go the extra mile to make sure everyone feels welcome. She is an extremely intelligent and driven person, and when she puts her mind to something, she will find a way to achieve her goal. She is a down-to-earth, goofy, and sweetest person to be around. In the 11 years I have known her, she has helped me become my best self, and I am so grateful to her.

She can sing and play music on her guitarron! Alba loves working in her garden and grows awesome tasty vegetables. Every year she makes us incredible Halloween costumes to wear as we pass out candies to the neighborhood kids. Her passion for life and learning, the love she has for family and friends will make her an incredible mom!

Get to Know Jeremy

When I have a good or bad day, Jeremy is the first person I want to share my day with. He is a great listener, always supportive, and the kindest person I know. Jeremy works as a computer programmer, he loves writing cool computer programs and tinkering with computers and gadgets. He is also very creative, he likes to draw and sketch. He has worked on a few comic books, Batman is one you might know. Jeremy is the most patient and caring person I know. He has a way of connecting with people instantly, he is a natural with all our nieces and nephews! Helps that he is a big kid at heart. His kindness and ability to love are the reasons why I married him, and why I feel he would be a wonderful dad.

Fun Facts
  • Collects old vintage comic books, and even worked on the Batman comic
  • Sailing to the Channel Islands
  • Creates custom computer programs for fun
  • Enjoys tennis, ping pong and volleyball
  • Likes to end the day with a good book
Our Family

Our family is big and we are close with lots of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and grandparents. We share birthday and holiday celebrations with them. Birthdays are a big deal, and we go all out to celebrate them with our family. Alba is a fantastic cook, her meals and hosting are legendary. Our home is known as the gathering place for family and friends. We enjoy spending time with our family as often as possible. We host a weekly family Phase 10 card game at our house, where the winner gets their name put on our Phase 10 trophy!

Our Pets

Dottie (doggie) and Roxie (kitty) are also a huge part of our family. They are well known around our block. Dottie loves to play fetch with a ball and even catch it in mid air. Kids come around the house asking to play ball with Dottie. Both are very friendly, gentle, and love kids.

We Love to Travel

We love to travel and always have great adventures. Visiting Italy was such a great place to visit, seeing all of the wonderful historic sites was amazing. Meeting all of the wonderful people and visiting the countryside made this trip special. When we traveled to Mexico City we saw the Mayan Pyramids that we had only read about for so many years. Alba speaks Spanish fluently, and was able to connect us with the communities we visited.
