Dear Expectant Mother,
Hello! We are Lindsay and Teddy and we are looking to build our family through adoption. Since the origins of our relationship we have been open about our want to build a family. As Lindsay’s family is made up of close relatives who were adopted, we know the unique joys that can come from this experience.
We are open to whatever involvement, if any, you are comfortable with, where we can plant the seeds of growth and continue this great cycle. We are thrilled to find our child and are hopeful to work with you, should you choose us. We appreciate the time to look and consider us!

How Our Story Started
Ours is a 21st century love story. We met online, connecting over our love of Star Wars, sarcasm, and our families. We both love to binge TV shows, create parody songs, cooking and hanging out with our pets. We find our laughter is the defining feature of our relationship and household. Our humor allows for joy on our toughest days, it strengthens our bonds as we prepare to add to our family.
Home Life
We live in the San Francisco Bay area and truly love it. The Bay Area allows for a quick change of scenery on a drive or hike. We often enjoy music playing through the house while we work. Our house is across the street from a schoolyard, 3 blocks from a county park, 3 blocks from Downtown, and walking distance from Lindsay’s parents. We love living in Redwood City where there are frequently opportunities throughout the city to get to know others in the community. We can’t wait to share our fun and supportive community with our child.
Pets
We have 3 pets in our household; 2 cats, Sabine and Jeter, and a dog, Tucker. They joined our lives at different points in our relationship. They love kids, and are always available for a good hug or laugh!
Lindsay – Who She is to Me by Teddy
There are so many things about Lindsay that make me fall in love with her each day. She is able to make me laugh at the silliest things, give me hope in my darkest moments, and inspire me to be better each day. One of my favorite things about her is how sensitive she is of her impact on others. Lindsay is one of the most thoughtful gift givers and one of the most emotionally deep people you could ever meet. Lindsay makes you feel warmth and support when she looks at you and that is why I truly love her. I know she will be a wonderful mother.
Lindsay’s Work
Lindsay has spent her life telling stories as a designer of wigs, hair, and makeup. She loves the opportunity to create personal touches to characters and actors on stage and screen. She has been teaching her craft to artists of all ages for the past 15 years. Her favorite skill to share with others is the ancient craft of making wigs called ventilating.
Teddy – Who He is to Me by Lindsay
Teddy glows while making people laugh and feel comfortable. His huge smile lights up his face and lifts the load for those in his life. He is an avid learner and constantly wants to be the best he can be for his family and community. Teddy fills me and those who he encounters with confidence and affirmation. I love how excited he is to run around till exhaustion with the kids in our life and I can’t wait to see him with our own child.
Teddy’s Work
Teddy could sell ice to a penguin. His natural ability to connect with guests and employees has led him into supervisory positions where he delights in supporting his staff to their life goals. He loves to educate himself so he can teach those around him.
Hobby Life
Teddy’s an avid NY sports fan (Yankees, Knicks, Jets, Islanders), gaming, fantasy sports and music, especially rock and roll. He is also a fan of playing with his 4 year old Godson and attempting to turn him into a Yankees fan. Sports will be a part of our future child’s life.
Lindsay loves creating art, crafting, teaching, designing custom wigs & facial hair, and singing out loud at the most random of times. She’s a huge fan of learning new skills every day and sharing that with friends, family, and students. Our future child will be able to grow in a touchable and creative environment.
Family Ties
We are privileged to have the support of our extended families on this journey. Teddy is the oldest brother in a family of 5; dad Ed, mom Eileen, and 2 brothers Dennis and Kevin. Lindsay was raised as the middle child in a family of 5; mom Marilee, dad Hans, and brothers Andrew and Scott. We both have extensive family trees. We are grateful to have many close friends who we consider family, 2 of whom named us godparents of their son, Milo.
Traditions
We are huge fans of celebrating the holidays and our collective traditions. We celebrate most of the Western holidays. Our favorite part is often creating decorations around the house. Our Christmas tree is covered in bright lights, classic gifted ornaments and fond memories we’ve made throughout our time together.
In Closing
We are committed to giving our future child a loving and safe home that fosters creativity, accepts all love and will always work towards the best for our child. We Intend to center our parenting around sharing the love and support our families gave to us and our brothers growing up. We look forward to being confidants and playmates to our child, helping them up to laugh when they fall flat, and coming at problems from a new angle, while guiding them towards sturdy paths. We are excited to share the story of how our family continues to grow through adoption and the gift of your love.
