Adina & Michael

We met online 11 years ago. Our first date was at a restaurant in Brooklyn that closed a month later, because we were meant to be, but the restaurant was not. We’ve been together ever since, inspiring and supporting each other throughout our careers in television and through every step in our lives, making sure we’re always there for each other. We have created a wonderful home in our North East LA community where we live with our adorable dog Ellie who loves kids, and Adina’s mom Silvia who is looking forward to being a grandmother.

Mike is an incredibly giving, caring, and driven person. When he loves something, he loves it with great passion. Mike is very close with his family. Growing up, he enjoyed taking his younger sister to the movies (their favorite was Spice World). His father inspired his love of comic books and his mother encouraged him to pursue a career in comedy. Mike loves visiting our 6 nieces and taking them on adventures. He is an incredible husband and cares for me in a way that makes me excited to see him as a father.

Adina is the kindest and most creative person I know. She’s adventurous and outgoing. She can become instant friends with anyone she meets. As a former nanny and current children’s television producer, she’s able to identify a child’s needs and connect with them creatively and emotionally. Adina speaks fluent Spanish and is a first generation American. Seeing how compassionate and thoughtful she has been through this process has made me love her even more. I would not be the person I am without her and am so grateful I get to start a family with her.

Hobbies & Interests – All We Have is Now

We are equally happy at home spending time together as we are going out with friends. We love traveling to exciting new places around the world or just relaxing at home watching Netflix. We both have many shared as well as separate interests that we’re passionate about.

We both are incredibly lucky to work in the entertainment industry. Adina as a producer and Mike as a writer and stand up comedian. We have gotten to meet amazing people as well as see and do fascinating things throughout our careers. We can’t wait to share that world with our child.

Our Home – Good Vibes Only

We live in a 4-bedroom house in North East Los Angeles with our dog, Ellie and Adina’s mom, Silvia, who lives in our guest house. There are many children on the block and great schools nearby. We’re just around the corner from a park that has a playground and some awesome trails we love walking our dog on.  Our yard is fenced and spacious with many fruit trees including avocado, lemon, and orange. We love to take advantage of the sunny climate by grilling up hamburgers and hot dogs with friends and family.

Both of our families are laid back and welcoming. Ever since we met, our families have blended seamlessly and now share holidays together.

Mike’s mom is a wonderful cook and has taught us many of her recipes. Adina’s mom is from Argentina, which brings many great foods and traditions into our lives. We love sharing meals with her every Sunday. We are very close with our siblings who will be excellent aunts and uncles, and we spend lots of time with our nieces, who can’t wait to be big cousins to our little one.
