About Us – We’d Like to Share Our Story with You
We met over 10 years ago in a research laboratory when we were both working towards our Doctorate/PhD in Computer Science and Engineering. After becoming doctors in 2015, we moved to the Bay Area to pursue our passion in leading important research, advising students, teaching, and giving talks all around the world. One of our goals has always been to make a longstanding and positive impact on the world, and we feel we are doing that now.
We have been very fortunate to be as successful as we have been in our careers. Much of this success is likely due to the close support we provide for each other. We are now settling down in our careers, and have plenty of time to commit to raising a child.
We are very excited about expanding our family and providing unconditional love and support to our child over the course of their lifetime.
We recently built a new 4-bedroom house in the South Bay Area to raise our family. Our new home has plenty of room to expand our family. Our lovely home is in a quiet, family-friendly residential neighborhood with a playground, sports field, bike paths, and more all within a few hundred feet from our home. Our home is nestled near the mountains, close to many outdoor parks that are within walking distance, a farmers’ market, and many fun outdoor activities. We have plenty of room for toys, both inside and outside the home. Overall, the South Bay Area is a great place to raise a family.
Ryan is one of the most caring, loving, trustworthy, and dependable people I know. There is no doubt that he will be a great father, and this has always been a dream of his. I very much look forward to raising children with Ryan, and the happiness it will bring not only to Ryan and myself, but our children as well.
Ryan is very active, loves to be outside, and enjoys learning new things. He is always fixing, building, or improving something around the house, or doing something creative.
Ryan loves helping others. His work ethic is always an inspiration to me. He loves teaching and is a great listener with seemingly infinite patience. He will be a very loving, caring, and devoted father, and I very much look forward to raising a child with him in this new chapter of our lives.
Since I first met Nina she has always dreamed of being a mother, and very much looks forward to this dream becoming a reality. Nina is the most loving and supportive person I know. She is kind, sweet, intelligent, and caring. Nina is very hard-working, highly motivated, and successful in anything she puts her mind to. She has a passion for helping others, and is always patient, smiling, and positive. She loves to laugh and has a playful attitude. She has made me a better person, and continues to make me a better person everyday we spend with one another.
Nina grew up in a very close and loving family who devoted their lives to making sure Nina and her siblings always had opportunities they didn’t have as children. As Nina became an adult, she selflessly supported both her parents and siblings. Her devotion and love towards her family and friends is perhaps the trait I admire the most about her.
Nina is always playing with her nieces and nephews whenever she can, and enjoys cooking for them, playing board games, and reading bedtime stories to them. I am absolutely certain that Nina will be a committed and loving mother.
Our Family & Friends
We both come from large families with a lot of love and support growing up. We talk with our parents almost everyday. Each year Ryan’s family has a large gathering on Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Easter, where the entire family comes together. Last Christmas, Ryan’s family visited, and helped a lot with the new house, and getting it prepared for expanding our family. Ryan’s mother has just retired and is planning to move-in with us in the next year.
We have a lot of friends in California, as well as college and high school friends that they keep in close contact with, and often visit each year when going back for the holidays.
Our Parenting Values
We will provide a loving and supportive home for our child and raise them with all the important values that we were raised, and those that we found important later on in life as well. Being from different cultures and backgrounds, we believe it is also important to raise our child to be open minded, caring, and understanding to everyone, no matter where they come from, what they believe, and so on.
We will share all the family traditions and holidays with our child including Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, and others children enjoy.
We will instill in our child a love and passion for education, learning, and experiencing new cultures, and making the world a better place. We will provide unwavering support for our child to pursue their own goals and dreams in life. We greatly value education and will always support them unconditionally in whatever their path may be in life.
We will love our child unconditionally, and always support them and their decisions throughout life. We will provide them with guidance and knowledge for them to make the best possible choice and become the best version of themselves.
